This was the first episode when we had hope. All in all alright, but they nailed the Blaviken Slaughter better than I could have wished for. * I hope them to at least stay at this level and hold on to the things that work and improve on the sloppy stuff * - one episode and season 2 later -> embarassingly obvious incompetence of a showrunner, with no sense of art, cohesiveness and most importantly respect / understanding of the source material made the star of the show quit and most of the fans too.

The show dose do some things a little better than the book like Renfri and Geralt having a better love story, as in I can believe Geralt and Ren had a connection that was cut short by fate (tragically). It's just to bad the show was such a disappointment and didn't build on anything it set up. Not to mention Cavill was wasted on this show. This series could have been something truly special, sadly though, it's nothing but a foot note now.

What makes this scene great I wonder. Is it the strong independent female playing dirty tricks, or the emotionally intelligent and grounded man trying to save a woman from her death and becoming a monster? Pretty simple what made this show work.....for a few episodes at least.
